I went to the University Minnesota - Mankato for my bachelor's degree in chemistry, and then moved on to the University Minnesota - Duluth for my masters degree in physics. I have spent five years teaching chemistry and physics at the college level, and I believe in helping students develop a full comprehension of course material as opposed to memorization. I believe that this leads to more engagement and higher grades. I like to relate concepts to applications of them in the real world to make them easier for students to see how science and math are interconnected. These strategies help students develop their critical thinking and problem solving skills, which leads to their academic success. I was awarded as the best graduate teaching assistant at UM - Duluth, and my evaluations have always been very high. I can assist students in subjects like algebra one and two, calculus, physics, pre-algebra, chemistry, and more. When I have spare time, I like to play music, listen to music, and read.
