Education
I am currently a Junior at Grinnell College with a major in biological chemistry. My GPA is 3.95/4.0. I am planning to pursue an MD/PhD dual degree, and I am currently studying for the MCAT. I will be at home for the next 2 months due to Grinnell closing.
Experience
In college, I have taken general chemistry, intro to biology, molecular biology, organic chemistry I and II, Biochemistry, Calculus II, and Physics I at Grinnell. Additionally, I have worked as a mentor/tutor in organic chemistry for one semester, and I worked as a lab assistant for general chemistry for one semester. I also have extensive research experience in synthetic chemistry working in a lab for 6 months on novel molecule synthesis and I have also completed biology research. In high school, I earned a 5 on the AP Biology exam and a 5 on the AP Calculus AB exam. I received a 35 on my ACT. I want to be a tutor because I really love working with students and helping them understand difficult concepts. I hope to help other people find their passion for the sciences because I know how overwhelming they can seem at first.
