Act Score: 23. I want to be a tutor because my passion is helping people learn. I am an Education major so I would also benefit from the experience of being a tutor. Young people should have an opportunity to explore different academic areas in order to find joy in a subject and I want to give students that opportunity. I was a nanny for one summer so I am used to being around children and helping them with tasks. In high school I was a teacher's assistant so I know that it takes organization and a lot of heart to help children achieve goals.

Hobbies

I am very involved at Minnesota State University, Mankato. I work on campus at the Alumni Foundation which I enjoy because I get to meet other students and spend time with them while at work. My favorite activity I am involved in is the MSU Women's Lacrosse Team which has been everything I imagined and more. I not only get to play my favorite sport but I get to play it with 20 some girls who have become my close knit friends. When I'm not playing or spending time with my team, I am either in class or in meetings. I take as many classes as possible with my schedule. There are two honor's societies I am also involved with. Having a busy schedule is something I not only enjoy, but I strive for. I work better under pressure with a set schedule.
