I have just graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.S. in Bioengineering. My GPA upon graduating was a 3.9/4.0, and I graduated with honors. In high school, I took several AP and IB courses, and have taken standardized tests and scored above the 90th percentile in the SAT, ACT, GRE, and MCAT, and thus am also qualified to help with preparation for these exams.
Experience
I have been a tutor for many years, throughout high school and college, and I absolutely love it. I have tutored everything from 7th-grade math to college level biophysical chemistry. I tutor to not only improve grades, but also to spark an interest in learning that is sustainable for a lifetime. Additionally, at Berkeley, I developed curriculum for Berkeley Engineers and Mentors-- a service organization which teaches at local elementary schools. As such, I have several hands-on science and engineering based lesson plans for elementary and middle school students, and would be more than willing to share these with any parents who want to enrich their student's education, inspire interest in science, or are just wanting a fun and educational activity for an afternoon. Lessons range from building model lungs to marble roller coaster challenges and bottle rockets.

I love to read, bike, kayak and play the piano. I also love teaching (obviously) which includes curriculum development. I also enjoy biomedical research, and have spent several years in college working in a research lab, which I would be more than happy to talk about my research if anyone is interested!
